KARACHI: A comprehensive plantation campaign of Greener DHA is being initiated by the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-P) to add to the greenery of the neighbourhood.

The plantation campaign will start from July 25 and aims to plant 25,000 saplings of different species all over DHA. Moreover, 100,000 plants will be planted in the upcoming project of DHA City, off Super Highway. A seminar on Greener DHA will be held by the end of this month at DHA Country and Golf Club in which representatives of different horticulture departments, horticulturalists, landscape specialists and experts will highlight the importance of trees and recommend appropriate species for fruitful plantation.

A stakeholders meeting for of the campaign was presided over by DHA administrator Brigadier Zubair Ahmed at the DHA head office. The participants discussed details of the 'Go Green DHA' campaign and finalised a strategy.
