The total volume of trade between Pakistan and China in 2010 rose by $2 billion to $8.7 billion.

Trade: Exports to China grow by 37 per cent

BEIJING: Pakistan’s exports to China increased by nearly $500 million or 37.4 per cent from January to December 2010, show figures released by China Customs.

Total exports from Pakistan to China last year stood at $1.7 billion compared with $1.2 billion worth of exports in 2009. Since 2006, exports to China have been gradually climbing.

The total volume of trade between Pakistan and China in 2010 rose by $2 billion to $8.7 billion.

Imports from China also increased by $1.4 billion and the total volume stood at $6.9 billion. The trade deficit was estimated at $5.2 billion.
