Follow the law: Police cars to have proper licence plates

KARACHI: Sindh IG Allah Dino Khwaja has directed the DIGs of the traffic, crime, Counter-Terrorism Department, training, Special Branch and other sections to issue a certificate confirming that all official vehicles used by their men are patrolling with proper licence plates. He asked all the DIGs to ensure all vehicles have official licence plates. Strict action will be taken against fancy and fake plates so that criminals are not able to exploit this oversight to their advantage. Similar instructions came in the month of April from home minister Sohail Anwar Siyal after a police van was attacked in Nagan Chowrangi area leaving three person killed.
