The suspected murderers further told that they returned to their homes after Adnan drowned because they did not know how to swim.
Inspector Muhammad Nazir, investigation officer of the case, told Daily Express that the police traced the suspects through call data of victim’s mobile phone, which they recovered from his pocket.
He, however, said investigation was being carried out from different angles and forensic report would resolve the mystery behind the drowning of the boy.
One of the suspects has been identified as Firdaus, a resident of Phalina village, whereas the name of other suspect has yet to be disclosed.
According to details, Adnan, was a resident of Gilgit and had learnt Quran by heart.

In a bid to flee from the suspects, Adnan lost his balance and fell in deep waters of the dam, the suspected men told the police.
The incident came to light on June 10 when locals informed the police about a body floating in the dam.
The victim’s brother told the police that Adnan had fled from home and last month he called him and told that he was going to Murree along with his friend.
The victim’s brother further said that they did not have any enmity with anyone and would not pursue case against any person.
