PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government has failed to raise a voice for the rights and interests of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Awami National Party General Secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain said.

According to a press release issued on Sunday, he was addressing a public meeting in Dak Ismail Khel, Nowshera.

“The government’s ignorance has disappointed the people of the province,” the statement quoted Mian Iftikhar as saying. “The PTI leadership has tampered with the sentiments of the people and failed to give effect to change.”

The ANP leader said war and uncertainty in the region has adversely affected the people of K-P.

“The previous ANP-led provincial government has vehemently opposed terrorism on every forum,” the press release cited him as saying. “However, their leaders and workers have been targeted.”
