Beaumont, Winfield lead England Women to win in first T20I against Pakistan

An opening partnership of 147 runs ensured victory for the hosts

An opening partnership of 147 runs between Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Winfield steered England Women to a 68-run victory in their first T20I against Pakistan Women at County Ground, Bristol on Sunday.

Beaumont made 82 off 53 balls, while Winfield scored 74 off 45 to lead England to their highest total in the shortest format of the game as they set up a target of 188 for the loss of five wickets.





Beaumont ton sees England women thrash Pakistan

Nida Dar claimed two wickets for Pakistan, while both Asmavia Iqbal and Sadia Yousuf claimed one wicket apiece.

In the second innings, Pakistan Women could only muster a total of 119 in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets, losing to the hosts by 68 runs.

For Pakistan, Asmavia Iqbal was the top scorer with 35 runs off 27 deliveries before being bowled by Danielle Hazell in the final over of the innings.

England's women run riot against Pakistan

Hazell, Sciver, and Gunn claimed two wickets apiece for England, whereas Ecclestone got one scalp.

Previously, Pakistan Women were whitewashed in the ODI series by England Women 3-0. England Women now lead the T20I series as well, with two matches remaining.
