Inferno: Four shops gutted in Kohistan

KOHISTAN: At least four shops gutted while the DSP’s office was damaged when a fire erupted at one of the shops in Shatial Bazaar, Kohistan on Saturday night.  A police official told journalists locals tried to extinguish the flames as firefighters failed to reach the site on time. Eyewitnesses told The Express Tribune the fire erupted in one of the four grocery shops in the neighbourhood. The office of Shatial DSP Muhammad Riaz Khan is also situated in the same area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday at around 3am. The flames engulfed shops and a portion of the DSP’s office. The shops had groceries worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.  The inferno also spread to the DSP’s office.
