On Tuesday, SHC nullified Pemra's notification imposing a three-day ban on Geo Entertainment anchor Amir Liaquat Hussain’s show ‘Inam Ghar’.
Pemra’s council of complaints had recommended on Monday a three-day ban on the TV show (from June 28 to June 30) besides directing Geo TV to air an apology for hurting the sentiments of the people.

Earlier, a notice was issued to the Geo TV for airing on June 6 scenes of a girl committing suicide and a participant of the programme abusing during the show.
The show host had provoked people to do strange activities and show anger in Punjabi language, said the Pemra statement, adding that airing such content was in clear violation of rules set by the regulatory body on June 1.
The two judge bench, headed by Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, will take up Pemra's appeal challenging the high court's verdict on Monday.
Meanwhile, Pemra chairman Absar Alam appeared before Senate Standing Committee on Information & Broadcasting and expressed concerns on the stay orders by high courts over actions against TV channels.
