Woman found murdered

The 30-year-old woman was found in a pool of blood at her uncle’s house with her throat slit.

ISLAMABAD: A woman was found murdered in a house on the outskirts of the federal capital late Wednesday.

According to police, the body of the 30-year-old woman was discovered by her family in a pool of blood at her uncle’s house in Taramri Chowk area on Wednesday. The Koral police are making efforts to ascertain the circumstances under which she was murdered.

According to the police, the assailaints had attacked the woman outside the room she was found in and slit her throat by a sharp knife from both sides.

“She managed to pull herself inside, where she died of excessive bleeding,” a police official said.

Police said that the victims was alone at the time of the incident, as her relatives had gone out and the neighbours in the adjacent building had also left some time before the incident.

“Apparently, there was no one around to help her. The wounds were deep enough for a speeding bleeding so she might have died instantly,” a police official said.

The victim’s brother, Muhammad Imran, told the police that his sister, Baby, was visiting her uncle in Taramri Chowk area for the past few days.

He said that his sister, along with her three-year-old daughter, Areesha, had been living with her parents since her relationship with her husband, Imtiaz Hussain, soared two years ago.

The family informed the police that the Areesha was inside the house at the time of the incident, but she was in another room.

Police claimed they could not find any clues about the involvement of her husband in the incident.

Police said the investigations are under way to nab the murderer. They have also ruled out the possibility of suicide. The body of the woman was handed over to her parents after autopsy.
