LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday sought comments from the Township SHO on a petition seeking a case against three administrators of a private university  for not allowing an ambulance to enter the campus thereby delaying emergency medical intervention.

Petitioner Ghulam Hussain filed the petition, seeking a case against UMT Rector Hassan Sohaib Murad, Director Abid Sherwani, Administration Manager Ibrar whose alleged negligence caused the death of Moeen and Manzoor.

The petitioner also sought a case against another student, Zeeshan Shaukat, for allegedly harassing the deceased. He said Shaukat had started argument after which the deceased fell ill.

He said a Rescue 1122 ambulance was called but it was not allowed to enter the university.

He said Manzoor was taken to a dispensary for first aid but no doctor was present there. He said by the time the ambulance was allowed to enter, the student had died. He asked the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the UMT administrators whose negligence caused the death of his nephew. He said strict action should be taken against them.
