Political situation: Elect honest representatives says Qadri
He said people should have their faith in Almighty Allah and work for the development of the country
LAHORE:
It is the responsibility of the voters to elect honest representatives, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Tuesday. He was addressing PAT leaders Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Fayyaz Warraich, Noorullah Siddique, Sajid Bhatti, Jawad Hamid, Shakir Mazari, Rafique Najam, Tanveer Khan, Irfan Yousaf and Farreh Naz. “Due to the flawed electoral system, only those who can buy votes or the election staff get elected. This is a reason behind Pakistan’s instability,” he said. He said people should realise that the system needed to be changed. “Pakistan needs an educated and honest leadership to pull it out of crises,” he said. The PAT chief said the objectives for which Pakistan was created remained unachieved. “Politics is the best way to serve the masses. However the gulf between the rich and the poor has widened. The poor find it very difficult to feed their families while the rich have amassed great wealth,” he said. He said people should have their faith in Almighty Allah and work for the development of the country.
