KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has completed the party's reorganisation process in 10 districts of Sindh and presidents and other office-bearers will soon be elected, announced senior minister for education and parliamentary affairs, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro.

He was addressing a press conference at the PPP media cell on Tuesday. During the press conference, some elected representatives of Azad Qaumi Ittehad Panel, who have recently secured seats in the local bodies' election, also joined the party.

Khuhro said people are joining the party because of its growing popularity, adding that the party will be revamped at the grass-roots level and district and division presidents will be elected after consultation with PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Khuhro, who himself is an aspiring candidate for PPP president of Sindh, said the party will celebrate its golden jubilee anniversary next year.

Referring to Bilawal's visit to qawwal Amjad Sabri's house where he [Bilawal] refused to talk to media on high-profile murders in the city, Khuhro said that the Sindh government and its ministers should respond and brief the media on governance and the law and order situation.

"Bilawal did a good job asking the Sindh home minister to respond to the media on this issue," he said.
