Tired of traditional wedding attire, Indian designer Kreshna Bajaj decided to stitch her love story onto her wedding lehnga, leaving women all over the world vying for such intricacy.
Kreshna was inspired by the Real Housewives star Adrienne Maloof who had framed her wedding dress as an art piece in her walk-in closet, reports The Huffington Post.
“The hem of the lehenga and the dupatta are adorned with jumping dolphins,” Huffington Post reports Kreshna as saying.
“Vanraj and I knew each other as kids but never really got along. In 2014, we found ourselves working on a project against dolphin captivity together, and that’s when we really connected,” revealed Kreshna.
The designer added her own edgy style to the classic ensemble by donning a pair of golden Giuseppe Zanotti heels. “I had to have something crazy and insane,” she told Huffington Post.
The lehnga even captures their breathtaking wedding location, Udaipur.

Their names, Vanraj and Kreshna, were woven into the fabric.
“I was afraid of wearing something totally traditional, without any edge. Once I had this idea, I knew this would be the perfect way to express both the traditional and edgy sides as well as I can,” Kreshna told BuzzFeed.
