Collective responsibility: Jirga bans all business activity

Ban imposed after tribes failed to control militancy in their respective areas

SHABQADAR: The political administration of Mohmand Agency suspended on Monday Qasim Khel tribes of all tribal allowances under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR).

The ban was announced during the tribal jirga held at Ekka Ghund, lower sub division under APA lower.

A Khasadar official Naveed and MES official Jamal Shah were killed by militants in Kado Kor and Bhai Kor areas. Since the tribes failed to control militancy in their respective areas, they were suspended from privileges, i.e. monthly allowances, etc.

All trades centers, and cultivated land within the jurisdiction of 300 meters around the crime place have also been closed.

Meanwhile, the jirga formed a 10-member committee under Tehsildar Ekka Ghund to implement the jirga verdict.
