KARACHI: A man belonging to the Ahmadiyya community was gunned down in an act of targeted killing in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal late Monday night.

The victim was a doctor, police said.

Armed motorcyclists targeted Khaliq Bashir, 45, while he was standing outside his clinic in Sikandar Goth, Sacchal police said. The man was shot multiple times.

He was taken to the nearby Patel Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

About a month ago, a man belonging to a minority community was killed in the same area. Bashir was a resident of the Metroville area.
