PESHAWAR:

Citizens and members of various trade bodies of Peshawar staged a protest demonstration on Monday against unprovoked firing by Afghan forces at Torkham border last week that claimed life of Pakistan Army’s Major Jawad Changezi. The demonstrators raised slogans against the Afghan government in front of Peshawar Press Club. The protestors said that Pakistan has supported Afghans for decades and now their forces were resorting to firing on Pakistani people. They alleged that Afghan refugees were not only a burden on economy but also involved in various crimes including terrorism. They also demanded of the government to make immediate arrangements for refugees’ return to Afghanistan.
