Tragic end: Man drowns in Khanpur Lake

HARIPUR: Another person drowned in Khanpur Lake on Sunday. A police official told The Express Tribune, a group of tourists were swimming in the lake when the incident occurred. One of them dived deep into the lake and did not return to the surface. His body was discovered a few hours later and he was shifted to the hospital. The deceased was identified as Sajid, a resident of Haripur. On Saturday, a teenage boy drowned in Khanpur Lake. A ban was imposed against swimming in the lake. After the incident, the police launched a crackdown against those who violated the ban. Over a dozen people were arrested. They were all booked under Section 186 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
