Modeling not an undesirable profession anymore, says Nadia Hussain

The supermodel talks about the growth of Pakistan's fashion industry

Supermodel Nadia Hussain has become an international name when it comes to Pakistani fashion. The model, dentist and mother has been featured on BBC, to talk about the growth of Pakistan's fashion industry.

"There has been a growth of the fashion industry, and we've all seen it happening," said Nadia.



Nadia revealed that her father was supportive of her career choices.

"My mother really wasn't that supportive, but my father actually on the other hand was quite supportive from the very beginning. He said that, 'If she wants to do it, let her do it.'"

When asked if modeling is seen as undesirable in such a conservative country, Nadia revealed "No, it's changing dramatically and it's actually been like that for the past 10-15 years. There used to be no fashion weeks. There was never a fashion show in which there would be like 40 models, and now there are."
