Dalit sujag tehreek: Scheduled caste Hindus elect officers

HYDERABAD: The Dalit Sujag Tehreek (DST), a movement representing the scheduled caste communities of Hindus, has nominated its ad hoc office bearers while also announcing elections for September 30 this year. The DST’s core committee, which consists of 21 persons from Kolhi, Bheel, Meghwar, Oad, Bhagri and other castes, made the announcement on Monday. Radha Bheel has been selected chairperson, an activist from Tharparkar district, Dr Sono Khangarani, as convener while Manga Ram Oad and Vesaki Mal Bhagri will act as vice-chairperson. The DST selected its district coordinators for Umerkot, Tharparkar, Matiari, Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Dadu and Sukkur districts.
