At least three people were injured and two houses damaged as an Indian MiG-27 aircraft crashed in Jodhpur, Rajhastan on Monday.

According to initial reports, the pilot was able to eject safely from the aircraft which was on its training flight.



The MiG-27 made its fall near the Jodhpur airbase soon after it took flight, with an inquiry ordered into the incident.

Meanwhile, according to the Press Trust of India, the pilot on his routine training mission had reported a technical issue, seeking priority landing.

According to local Station House Officer (SHO), the plane crashed near a house in an open area known as Mahaveer Nagar. The area was cordoned off as police officials reached the site upon receiving information of the incident.

Earlier on Sunday, a United Arab Emirates military helicopter crashed during a routine flight into the sea, killing two crew members.

Similarly, an Emirati military jet crashed during training, killing the pilot and trainer who were on board.
