ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday reserved judgment on the auction of sites for three proposed luxury hotels in the federal capital.

Justice Aamer Farooq reserved judgment after the Capital Development Authority (CDA) counsel concluded his arguments over the maintainability on the petition filed against the auction.

The sites to be auctioned located at Blue Area between sectors F-9 and G-9, Murree Road and the northern strip of E-11, are likely to fetch Rs40 billion for the civic agency.

Advocate Hafiz Arfat Ahmad had approached the court challenging the auction of three plots, scheduled to take place on November 16 and 17 at the Jinnah Convention Centre.

He has made CDA chairperson and director estate management as respondents.

CDA counsel, Kashif Ali Malik, argued before the court that the process for the said auction was initiated in a transparent manner and in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
