FAISALABAD: A China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Cell has been created in the Research and Development Department of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) to provide basic information about the project in addition to helping local businessmen have direct access to their strategic Chinese counterparts.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal formally inaugurated the cell during his visit to FCCI.

He termed CPEC a game changer for the region and said that the business community should play its pro-active role to get maximum benefits through this $46 billion project. He said small and medium entrepreneurs and large business groups in general should start work on this project and identify the fields in which they could collaborate with their Chinese counterparts.

According to Iqbal, various chambers of commerce can get reliable information and disseminate it to the potential members.
