Mardan Clash: Injured person dies at hospital

The workers got into an argument with those of Awami National Party following the issue over flag-hoisting.

A man reportedly succumbed to his injuries a day after an armed clash between activists of Awami National Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Ala Dad left at least four people dead and several others injured in Mardan. Fakhr-e-Alam was injured in Friday’s armed clash. He breathed his last Saturday at Mardan Medical Complex. He was the gunman of the tehsil council member, Mohmand Khan. The clash took place Friday evening when the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insad were heading to attend a convention which was led by tehsil council member Mohmand Khan. The workers got into an argument with those of Awami National Party following the issue over flag-hoisting. Subsequently, the two groups opened fire at each other. As a result, tehsil council member Mohmand Khan, Ikram, Shah Jehan and Qasim died on the spot, while seven others were injured.
