The criticism was levelled by PTI Women Wing K-P President Naseem Hayat. She said this while speaking as the chair at a meeting held at PTI’s provincial secretariat in the city. This was stated in a press release issued by the party’s media cell on Saturday.
As per the statement, Hayat said Khattak was appointing women so they could support her in the intra-party elections.
“Khattak violated rules of the party,” the press release quoted the party’s provincial women wing president as saying.
“She does not have any authority to interfere in the matter of the province’s women wing.”
According to the statement, Hayat and other PTI MPAs from K-P have joined hands against Khattak and her supporter PTI MNA Munaza Hassan, from Punjab.
“The MPAs from K-P also constituted a committee that could appoint interim office-bearers of PTI from every region till the intra-party elections take place,” the document stated.
MPAs and office-bearers of PTI from Malakand, Hazara and southern districts were also present on the occasion.
