LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Kot Lakhpat SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking a case against seven traffic wardens for roughing him up for filming them as they beat a citizen. Khurram Shehzad submitted that he was on his way home when he saw some traffic wardens beating a citizen. He said one of the wardens, Zafar Abbas Shahid, had injured the man using a knife. He said he tried to produce a video to share it with the media but the wardens caught him. He said they had beaten him and damaged his cell phone. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the wardens.
