QUETTA: At least four militants of a banned outfit were killed in Quetta on Friday.

Armed men opened indiscriminate fire on the police mobile, which was patrolling Sariyab road, police said.

"In retaliation, four suspects were killed while two policemen were injured," said SP Zahoor Afridi, adding that arms and ammunition were also recovered.

District chief of the militants Doctor Umair was among the killed, he added.

While two of the militants managed to escape the scene, the injured police officials were shifted to the civil hospital.
