Improving quality: Training workshop concludes at SALU

SUKKUR: The eighth Indigenous On-Campus Training (IOT) workshop for non-teaching staff of the University on Modern University Governance concluded at Shah Abdul Latif University (Salu), Khairpur. The workshop was organised by the department of teacher education in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad. Professor Dr Noor Ahmed Shaikh, pro-vice-chancellor of Salu’s main campus, presided over the concluding session. Dr Shaikh said that he was optimistic that this workshop will enhance the capacity building of the staff and it is vital in the promotion of an efficienct working environment. He appreciated the efforts of the HEC for organising result-oriented workshops at Salu. Former public diplomacy adviser at the US Consulate Karachi, Syed Javed Sadiq said that communication skills, writing skills and computing knowledge are the main source of capacity building.
