The board approved the purchase of 132 ZTM-I towers and conversion of 66-KV Ahmed Pur Sial Grid Station to 132-KV. The approvals were granted in the 150/38th BOD meeting which was presided over by BOD Chairman Khurram Mukhtar.
Participants of the meeting were told that transformers had burned out at an alarming rate due to the hot weather. The board decided that repair of 1,143 transformers would be outsourced in compliance with all rules and regulations.
“Our first priority is to provide power consumers maximum relief in this scorching weather,” the chairman said.
The board also approved a revised O&M budget of Rs11,203 million for the fiscal year 2015-16 and declared the FESCO CEO a competent authority for its allocation and reallocation.
The board approved the charge of FESCO secretary for Career Management Director Ather Ayub. The conversion of 66-KV Ahmed Pur Sial Grid Station into a 132KV Grid Station with a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) was also approved.
The participants were told that the project would be completed on a turnkey basis.
The board reviewed details of the implementation of an ERP project and approved the implementation of the Human Capital Management Module in Phase-I. The board also approved of shifting the company’s registration office from Lahore SECP to Faisalabad SECP.
The meeting was attended by FESCO Chief Executive Officer Rashid Ahmed Aslam, Syed Zia Alamdar, Abdul Hameed Chaudhry, Ahsan Afzal Khan and Zahid Aslam, Operations GM Masood Salahauddin, CFO Zahid Hassan and CM Director Ather Ayub.
