Recognition: PITB head invited to int’l summit

Dr Saif said that the invitation was recognition of the progress made by the PITB and the ITU

IT University (ITU) Lahore Vice Chancellor Dr Umar Saif, who is also the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) chairman, has been invited by the White House to participate in 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) that is going to be held at the Stanford University, California, from June 22 to 24. Dr Saif said that the invitation was recognition of the progress made by the PITB and the ITU. “Our work is now being replicated in other countries. We have established the largest start-up incubator, Plan9, in Pakistan. PlanX and the TechHub Connect are other state-of-the-art projects.” he said.
