At least three proclaimed offenders were killed while another was arrested during an exchange of fire with the police within the jurisdiction of Saro Shah police station in Mardan on Saturday. A police official told The Express Tribune a raid was carried out on a hideout in Damamo Kalay. “The suspects opened fire on the police,” he said. “As a result, three proclaimed offenders were killed while another was injured. The deceased were identified as Ishfaq, Shahid and Majid.” According to the police official, the injured was identified as Amjad. “He was subsequently taken into custody,” he added. The bodies were shifted to the hospital for autopsies. A Kalashnikov and hand grenades were seized from their possession.
