LAHORE: Two Pakistani umpires, Aleem Dar and Asad Rauf, will officiate in the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after a request by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Dar, who confirmed his participation, is on the International Cricket Council (ICC) Elite Panel along with Rauf.

Both umpires will officiate in the World Cup before officiating in the IPL that will run from April 8 to May 22. The tournament, however, has no Pakistani cricketer featuring in the list of 416 players whose services were auctioned earlier.

Since the inaugural edition of the IPL, Pakistani match referee Talat Ali and both Dar and Rauf have figured in the BCCI-run league.
