Although the reason behind Michelle Obama's visit isn't clear, reports suggest US aid for the education sector of Pakistan was also discussed during the informal meeting.

The First Lady's visit to the Pakistan Embassy came at a time when relations between Pakistan and the US are strained on account of the drone strike in which Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour was reported killed.

The visit seems a bid to mend strained relations between Washington and Islamabad in the aftermath of a US drone strike deep inside Pakistan on May 21 that killed Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour.

While US President Barack Obama insisted that the US will continue to carry out similar strikes wherever necessary.

However, Pakistan termed the attack a severe violation of its sovereignty and integrity, and warned the Obama administration of its implications on mutual ties.

What is next Chief of US Army will visit Pakistan Embassy to discuss US foreign policy. First lady is not supposed to discuss any bilateral relations. Talban should note that this Pakistani guy is standing very close to Mrs Obama and smiling.
