In Red Zone : Protests, assembly banned for 90 days

The SHOs of the relevant police station have been authorised to register complaints under Section 188

The Sindh home department has imposed a ban on protests, demonstrations, rallies and assembly of more than five persons at places that fall under the ‘Red Zone’ for a period of 90 days with immediate effect, said a notification issued on Wednesday.

The places that fall under the Red Zone in Karachi are Governor House, Chief Minister House, Sindh Assembly, Sindh Secretariat and Bilawal House.

The SHOs of the relevant police station have been authorised to register complaints under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code in writing for violation of Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code against all violators of the ban.
