The development comes following questions were raised over a Pakistani passport and CNIC found at the site where Muhammad Wali, suspected to be Afghan Taliban supremo Mullah Akthar Mansour, was reportedly killed by a US drone strike deep inside Pakistani soil while he was travelling from Iran.
"A message has gone to the world that Pakistan’s CNIC can be used by anyone. This is against our strategic, security and national interest," said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan while chairing a meeting at NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday.

He said it would be ensured that foreigners do not use Pakistani identity cards and it will be identified if foreigners are using them. “In this regard, intelligence agencies will provide required help to Nadra.”
On May 24, the interior minister had said, “For the last 40 years now, more than 0.3 million migrants have reached Pakistan. About 30,000 people cross the border on daily basis and there is no monitoring system for that," adding, "It’s like a needle out of a haystack to keep a check on every single person.”
However, he said, “We are trying to improve the system.”
