HARIPUR: A man drowned in Khanpur Lake on Sunday, police said. Eyewitnesses and police said picnickers from different cities throng the lake to beat the heat. On Sunday, some men were taking a bath in the lake when an inexperienced swimmer ventured into deep waters and drowned. His body was recovered and handed over to the family. The deceased was identified as Zakir Hussain, son of Nusrat Khan, and was a native of Swabi district.
