Street style at Cannes

KARACHI: Every year, the Cannes Film Festival is not only celebrated for the actual movies being screened but also for its much-talked about fashion moments. This year too, for the 69th film extravaganza, celebrities have been flaunting their red carpet style as well as their perfect throw-on-and-go-outfits to stroll around the streets. Their off-duty dressing, also known as street style, is making Cannes look good. And for some style inspiration we have picked three fashionistas that have brought their A-game to France.



Freida Pinto’s effortlessly chic wardrobe made us pick her as our top contender. Her feminine A-line dress, a silk faille frock featuring bold orange motifs, refined the laid-back summer style. Stepping out in a crisp white blazer with beach wavy locks and aviator glasses, paired with four-inch orange mesh Kurt Geiger London pumps, Pinto gave her style a perfect mix of corporate and casual.





We can’t talk about fashion and not have Blake Lively thrown into the conversation. When it comes to fabulous fashion moments, there is no stopping the 28-year-old diva. Her clever coordination and a fresh spin to her style stride are always worth mentioning. This yellow old Hollywood glam outfit paired with strappy sandals, arctic blue long ear rings and rustic golden clutch finished with the perfect red pout made her style warm-weather perfection.



One thing is for sure, Karlie Kloss turns heads wherever she goes. The 23-year-old supermodel is best known for her urban-cool outfits that never go amiss. This time too her extraordinary fashionable getup complimented her style. The red and white beaded miniskirt worn with a black tank top was a head-turner. In fact, the edgy moto jacket and a black and gold structured handbag, paired with a vintage-inspired pair of ribbon-tie Kurt Geiger block heels and a pair of casual sunglasses made us feel we Cannes do it too.
