Four suspects arrested from Federal B area

KARACHI: Two traffic police officials were shot dead in an armed attack in Karachi's Ayesha Manzil area on Saturday.

The deceased were equipped with bulletproof jackets; however, could not survive the attack as the armed men shot them in the head, according to the Karachi PoliceMedia Cell.

Identified as Shakeel and Kamran of the Azizabad Traffic Section,   both died before arriving at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Following the incident, four suspects were detained from Federal B area’s Nawaz Court residential apartments.

They were identified as Maaz, Faisal, Kashif and Nasir.

Nasir is said to be the worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s labour division, while the rest are supposedly party supporters.

Earlier, taking notice of the incident IG Sindh AD Khawaja directed the DIG West Zone to submit a detail investigation report.

Three policemen killed, one injured in Karachi

In October last year, at least two officials were shot dead in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area in an apparent targeted attack.

According to Express News, unknown motorcyclists opened indiscriminate fire on the police personnel during their routine patrol near Dawood Public School.
