PESHAWAR: A three-day book fair kicked off at University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar on Wednesday. The initiative was organised by National Book Foundation (NBF). A large number of students and teachers thronged to stalls set up at the varsity to sift through a diverse array of books. UET Dean for Engineering Professor Dr Noor Muhammad and NBF Regional Director Murad Ali were also in attendance. Speaking on the occasion, Noor lauded NBF’s efforts to organise the fair and inculcate reading habits among young people. “Reading is an essential part of learning and can guarantee success,” he said. Noor urged students to continue reading books to enhance their skill set and gain new insights. NBF’s regional director said the varsity administration had been extremely supportive throughout this venture. “A large number of students turned up at the fair,” Ali said. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive.”
