For the past week or so, the sun has turned its wrath upon Karachiites, and the situation is further compounded by the city’s only electricity supplying company’s unannounced load-shedding for long periods of time.
When approached, the only explanation KE seems to have is that there is a technical issue at hand.
Lights out in Lyari : Elected representatives warn KE of protests
KE has been of late bent upon polishing its image by posting maintenance shut-down announcements on Twitter and promoting football in one of the city's poorest neighbourhoods.

However, fed up with increasingly unannounced load-shedding, these tweets by Karachiites tell a different story altogether.
‘Resolution of energy crisis a top priority’
Hahaha after no power last night @KElectricPk just blessed us with another outage. These people are beyond pathetic.

Many think technical fault is just a fancy name for load-shedding
In the name of Technical Fault @KElectricPk is doing extra hour Load Shedding which is highly unethical & Shameful.

Loss making areas in #Karachi get load shedding while zero loss areas get "technical issues".. Neither gets a constant supply @KElectricPk

While a few complained about missing Imran Khan's speech in the National Assembly today as well as Shahid Afridi's interview thanks to power outages, others were more concerned about how they would watch cricket matches between Sri Lanka and England, staring tomorrow.
Blistering heat to hit Pakistan this week
Missed lala's interview.
