Road to progress: ‘Development budget to be increased’

KARACHI: KARACHI. The budget for development of roads will be increased in he upcoming financial year, said Pakistan Peoples Party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He was addressing business community members of the province at Bilawal House on Tuesday. The meeting discussed law and order, feeble infrastructure and water crises.

During the meeting, businessmen suggested setting up a planning commission in Sindh to undertake research and policy development initiatives for economic and infrastructure growth.

The chief minister briefed the meeting regarding government efforts to control extortion, kidnapping for ransom and other criminal activities in the city.

The business community appreciated the efforts by the Sindh government to control law and order situation, said home minister Sohail Anwar Siyal while speaking to The Express Tribune.
