A police official told The Express Tribune the four bodies were found from an open field. The deceased were identified as Farmanullah, Dr Khan, Aliullah Shah and Naseem Khan. Later, the remains were handed over to their families.
According to the official, the deceased were criminals and wanted by the police in various cases. They were gunned down by unidentified men. The police registered an FIR and are investigating the matter.
Over the last month, police have been on the receiving-end of targeted attacks in Lakki Marwat.
Earlier, on April 12, two policemen were shot dead within the jurisdiction of Sarai Naurang police station in Lakki Marwat.
