Two-day dialogue: Energy policy to be discussed for CPEC

The energy policy for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be discussed at a two-day dialogue in the city. The dialogue kicked off on Tuesday. The event titled, ‘Energy policy dialogue in the context of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’ has been organised by US Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Peshawar.“The support from USAID to hold dialogues in the field of energy will enhance students’ capabilities in the energy sector,” UET Peshawar Vice Chancellor Dr Iftikhar Hussain said. Participants of the session will discuss the challenges and opportunities that will be faced by bringing alternative energy solutions for the corridor. They will also discuss how the industries are preparing for energy-efficient solutions in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and the possible public-private partnerships.
