CHITRAL:

Jamaat-e-Islami provincial general secretary Abdul Waseh said the country needs a firm plan to stop corruption. A press conference led by the JI chief from Chitral Maulana Jamshed was held at Chitral Press Club on Saturday.

Waseh said a concrete strategy to weed out corruption was needed, especially because accountability bodies are also believed to be involved in embezzlement cases.

“The leaders who are inviting foreigners to invest in the country are the ones investing in foreign countries and benefitting them,” he said.

Waseh added the country does not lack resources but Panama leaks revealed they were being sent to foreign countries, creating subsequent economic collapse, poverty, terrorism, illiteracy, corruption, political instability, energy crisis, tainted foreign policy and scarred national integrity in our own nation.
