Red carpet round-up: Raising the glamour quotient

There were some big winners inside London’s Royal Festival Hall on May 8

LAHORE:
The Bafta TV Awards are one of the most glamorous nights of the year as the biggest names of the small screen gather to celebrate the shows that have everyone talking. There were some big winners inside London’s Royal Festival Hall on May 8 but there were also some serious fashion frontrunners on the red carpet outside.

Georgia May Foote

Georgia cut a slender figure in this Dennis Basso gown, which boasted a deep neckline that made the most of her curves. She kept her hair off her face in a slick center-parted hairdo keeping the focus on her dramatic gown. She accessorized with simple black drop earrings and a fun quirky seashell clutch. Her dark eye makeup brought attention to her blue eyes while her wine coloured lipstick added the right element of drama to the look.

Sheridan Smith

The Mrs Biggs star wore a fabulous short black dress, shunning the overdone floor length trend of the red carpet. Her A-line dress was by the Pakistani brand, Zuria Dor, that is known for its formal red carpet worthy dresses. She played with a black-on-black look with pointed heels and a clutch in the same colour avoiding jewelry and instead choosing to accessorise with a big smile. She gave her 50s inspired look an edgy update with her choppy hairstyle and looked every bit a star.

Maisie Williams

Maisie sure cleaned up well in this sequined pretty pink Antonio Berardi dress which showed off her toned legs. She looks ladylike and feminine, the complete opposite of her onscreen Game of Thrones persona — Arya. Opting for a knee length gown with a high neck and a shimmering statement choker she kept the rest of her jewelry simple and coordinated with simple ear studs and delicate rings.  The look was chic and age appropriate for the young actor.
