In custody: Three arrested, medicines seized in city

The drug inspector stated that people involved in such business will not be spared

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa health department has arrested three people and confiscated a large cache of medicine during a raid in the city on Wednesday.

Drug inspectors received information that medicines, which were usually distributed for free, were being sold at a store run by two brothers, Hamid and Qadeem, and an Afghan national Hidayatullah.

Senior Drug Inspector Imran told The Express Tribune all three culprits were arrested and medicine worth Rs1 million were seized. He also said a majority of the drugs were antibiotics.

The drug inspector stated that people involved in such business will not be spared.
