An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday sentenced a man to two years of imprisonment for raising funds for a banned militant outfit. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) had registered a case against Hafiz Muhammad Ishaq, a resident of Chiniot. According to the prosecution, the CTD had arrested Ishaq on March 29, 2016 on charges of collecting charity for the banned outfit. “He also used to deliver provocative speeches at a mosque in Chiniot,” the prosecution said. The ATC awarded two years imprisonment to Ishaq and fined him Rs100,000.
