KARACHI: At least 13 people were injured in a cracker blast in Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood on Sunday.

Police sources said a hand grenade attack was reported at Lyari's Brohi Chowk, which injured at least 10 people.

The cracker targeted a wedding ceremony at a local restaurant near Bright School in the precincts of Chakiwara police, sources added.

However, according to Express News, two bike-riding miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at Haider Hotel in Lyari’s Sango lane area, injuring 14 people.

While police cordoned the area, rescuers rushed to the site and shifted the injured to the nearby Civil Hospital.

No one has thus far claimed responsibility of the attack.
