Adnan, Sajal to make Bollywood debut

Actors to star in ‘Mom’ alongside Sridevi, Akshaye Khanna

Pakistani actors Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali are all set to make inroads into Bollywood alongside veteran Indian actor Sridevi in the upcoming movie Mom, reported IANS on Tuesday. Adnan will play the role of Sridevi’s husband and Ali’s father in the fim.

The news of Ali’s role in the movie broke a few weeks ago. However, only recently, a source confirmed Adnan’s participation in the movie as well. Sridevi, who is also the co-producer for the project alongside husband Boney Kapoor, will be seen essaying the lead role in the women-centric film.

Actor Akshaye Khanna will make a comeback with the movie while actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will have a special appearance. The Mom team is currently shooting in Georgia.

The Ravi Udyawar directorial features Sridevi as a stepmother who is in conflict with her 18-year-old daughter. Reports suggest that Ali will be essaying the role of her daughter.

Adnan also played a small role alongside actor and film-maker Angelina Jolie and actor Irrfan Khan in the 2007 film A Mighty Heart.

Rahul | 8 years ago | Reply We should open up a different department which would cater just to Pakistani actors in Bollywood. I mean one department would make movies with only Pakistani actors and the other would be the regular Bollywood. Looking at the influx of Pakistani actors on this side of the border I think it would be a good idea. They should be made to sign retainer contracts every five years at the end of their previous contracts in case they wish to continue working.
