Your stars today

Aries | March 20 – April 19

Although you’re usually superb at fitting extra tasks into an already full schedule, at the moment, it would be asking for trouble. In fact, with both Mercury and your ruler Mars retrograde, and slowing the pace, you’re better off eliminating unnecessary commitments and ensuring you’ve time for the inevitable unexpected developments.

Taurus | April 20 – May 20

Now that your ruler Venus has moved into Taurus, you’ll not only feel more calm and confident, you’ll also be prepared to discuss potential changes that, only recently, you found seriously worrying. Bear in mind, simply having had time to familiarise yourself with these will have helped a lot.

Gemini | May 21 – June 20

Planning ahead may be a virtue. But now that your ruler Mercury is retrograde in the most strategic portion of your chart, instead you’ll want to focus on ensuring even the simplest of arrangements is flexible. Ironically, changes that are sudden, if not unwelcome, could turn out to be brilliant.

Cancer | June 21 – July 22

Tempting as it is to give a hand to those who’re complaining about unfair situations or their struggles, it would be unwise. First, in most cases, things aren’t nearly as bad as they say. In truth, they rather enjoy carrying on about these. So much, if one problem is fixed, they’ll find another to moan about.

Leo | July 23 – August 22

Not only are your ruler the Sun, Venus and Mercury finally all positioned together, they’re accenting the structure of your life. While this means the time has come to discuss potential changes, with Mercury retrograde until the 22nd, your best bet is to regard any decisions you make as tentative.

Virgo | August 23 – September 22

While, with practical Saturn and, more recently, impatient Mars both in the domestic angle of your chart, it’s understandable you’d like several decisions made swiftly, it’s unlikely they’d be lasting. In fact, with Mars itself retrograde, your time’s better spent looking into past issues before you start making future plans.

Libra | September 23 – October 22

One of your greatest gifts is your ability to discreetly influence the thinking and, therefore, decisions of others. Now, however, there are crucial facts of which you’re unaware. Tempting as it is to get involved, even in the background, you could unwittingly complicate matters. For now, remain by the sidelines.

Scorpio | October 23 – November 21

Obviously you’d rather be able to ask pivotal questions and get straightforward answers. But as you’re becoming increasingly aware, with Mercury now retrograde, minor errors can pop up in the most unexpected of ways. However, you won’t necessarily spot them immediately, which is the reason any decisions had best be flexible.

Sagittarius | November 22 – December 21

During this complex week, don’t be surprised if what initially seem setbacks turn out to be golden opportunities. These wonderful, but perplexing, developments are indicated by the combination of fabulous aspects by the Sun to both your ruler Jupiter and, at the end of the week, Pluto, planet of transformation.

Capricorn | December 22 – January 19

As much as you’d like to base plans, for the present and future, on solid facts, it’s unrealistic. You may already have noticed that even seemingly straightforward matters are themselves in transition. Knowing that, forget about attempts to organise things just so and adopt an uncharacteristically easygoing approach.

Aquarius | January 20 – February 17

Just when you thought things were more settled than they have been, certain worrying developments involving elements of your work or lifestyle appear. These are linked to those triggered by late April’s Full Moon. While these changes are inevitable, you’ll soon learn exactly why they’re in your best interests.

Pisces | February 18 – March 19

When you hear that Mercury’s retrograde cycle can be instructive, you tend to laugh and think ‘fat chance’. Yet because it’s accenting your perspective, you’ll only not learn about the situations in question, in the process of putting things right, you’ll recognise blind spots that, previously, you’ve firmly refused to acknowledge.
