Sub-judice: FIR sought against CM, minister
Petitioner Abdullah Malik said that the LHC had granted stay orders to save 11 heritages sites likely to be affected
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday again sought comments from the Civil Lines SHO on a petition seeking the registration of a case against Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Law Minster Rana Sanaullah for allegedly commenting on sub judice matters. At previous proceedings, the judge had asked the SHO to submit the comments. However, no comments were submitted. Petitioner Abdullah Malik said that the Lahore High Court had granted stay orders to save 11 heritages sites likely to be affected by the project. “However, the both the CM and the law minister have been commenting on the issue. This amounts to contempt of court,” he said. He said that in their public addresses, they had posed threats of dire consequences to the petitioner.
